A few more random photos from our trip this year. Probably the last I’ll share from this particular trip―although you can see posts from both of our trips to Scotland here. The first photo of this post is somewhere (I think) between Inverness and Applecross, but time has passed and I’ve forgotten where!
I think this one was taken after our little drive o’ doom (where, at one point, we were on a cliffside single track with a lorry trucking along in the other direction and no passing area) along the Applecross route. Was worth the momentary driving stress for the view.
Beinn Eighe, I believe. This was taken during my first ‘oh hey, I’ve got rhinitis’ day of the trip, which was pretty early in our adventures, so we didn’t hike about as much as I once hoped I would. But a lovely day, all the same.
On the way to Durness, we stopped at the Kylesku Hotel for drinks and food. This is Loch Glendhu, or perhaps Loch Gleann Dubh (they appear to meet here).
On the ferry to Orkney. So much blue―total opposite of things here in Phoenix.
Well, you know we stopped for whisky whenever there was some to be had.
Gorse. Likely not the cause of my nasal miseries while in Scotland, but one never knows. Pretty, though!
The Floating Heads at Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow. Wonderful art installation.
A creative view within the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow.
Oh, can’t forget the Duke of Wellington. Aye, that’s a traffic cone on his head. Of course. I love Glasgow. And I miss Scotland. But we’ll be back again one day!
